Permission to stop

For a long time now, you have been the one who holds everything together. The work, the family, the plans, the hundred small details nobody else sees. You are tired, in a way that a weekend never quite fixes.

Replenish is five days to put all of that down. A group of women who need the same thing you do, a quiet house in the hills above the Mediterranean, and food that is a pleasure to sit down to. There is nothing to achieve here and nothing to give up. Just deep rest, nourishing food and gentle guidance, so you go home rested, with a better understanding of your body.

“I'm Danielle. For more than 10 years I have cooked for and helped to organise retreats, over 200 of them, and I have seen what happens when women finally stop and are properly looked after. Replenish is the retreat I have always wanted to host.”

Why Replenish

What makes Replenish different

I

Food that nourishes

Every meal is cooked by Danielle and her kitchen team, drawing on more than 10 years and over 200 retreats. Mediterranean, seasonal and generous, and designed with steady energy, digestion and calm in mind. The menu is vegetarian, with eggs. Nothing restrictive, nothing to count, and you will never be hungry.

Lunch ends with a sobremesa, the Spanish habit of staying at the table long after the plates are cleared, talking, with nowhere else to be.

II

Understanding, not rules

Across the four days, Danielle sits down with the group for a short, practical session. Not a lecture and not a list of things to cut out, but a friendly conversation about why you feel the way you do, and the small changes that make the biggest difference once you are home.

III

Rest you can feel

Afternoons are yours. Swim in one of the two salt pools, spend an hour in the spa, have your massage, visit the donkeys, read in the shade or sleep. Mornings begin with the sunrise for anyone who wants it, and each day ends with the group gathered outside to watch the sun go down over the hills.

“I arrived tired and a bit run down, and I left feeling lighter than I have in years. The food was so nourishing and so beautiful that I never once felt I was missing anything. What stayed with me most was how cared for I felt. Danielle noticed what each of us needed, quietly and without any fuss.”
Donna, retreat guest
“I didn't realise how much I needed to slow down until I did. By the end of the week I felt calm in a way that stayed with me long after I got home. Danielle makes healthy food feel generous rather than restrictive, and I came home with ideas I still use every day.”
Sarah, retreat guest
“It was my first retreat and I worried I'd spend the week hungry or feeling like I was doing it wrong. Instead every meal felt like a gift. I slept better, my mind went quiet, and for the first time in a long while I felt completely looked after.”
Leila, retreat guest

Your host

Danielle Redmond

Danielle is a holistic nutritionist and Mind Body Eating Coach who has cooked for and helped to organise more than 200 wellness retreats in Mallorca, Andalusia and beyond since 2015, for yoga and Pilates teachers, retreat centres and private clients. She trained in hospitality at Les Roches, studied holistic nutrition with Hawthorn University, and trained as a Mind Body Eating Coach with the Institute for the Psychology of Eating.

Her food is Mediterranean, seasonal and deeply nourishing without ever feeling restrictive, and Replenish is the retreat she has wanted to host for years: everything she has learned about what people really need when they finally stop.

The setting

House of Inquiry, Mijas

A quiet retreat centre on sixteen acres in the hills above the Costa del Sol. Five houses sit among the gardens, with the Mediterranean to the south and the Mijas mountains rising behind. The grounds are full of fruit trees, and the pace is unhurried.

You will have gentle company, too: the centre's two miniature donkeys, Divya and Toffee, trained as emotional support animals and always happy to be visited.

Two salt-water pools, a spa with a jacuzzi and steam bath, a meditation room and a fireplace room for slower evenings. Fuengirola's beach is ten to fifteen minutes away, and Málaga airport about half an hour by car. In early May, days are around 23°C and evenings are fresh.

Good to know

Questions

The retreat

Do I need any yoga or movement experience?+
None at all. Every session is gentle and optional.
Do I have to go to every session?+
No. Coming to all of them, or none, is equally welcome. Resting instead is always a good choice.
Is this a detox?+
No. There is no fasting and no cleanse. Your body is replenished, not emptied.
Can I come on my own?+
Of course. Many women come on their own, and you will soon feel at home. Choose solo for a room of your own, or share a twin with another guest.
Can I bring my partner?+
Yes. The retreat is written for women, but partners and friends are warmly welcome, and the double rooms are perfect for two.
I'm pregnant, or have a health condition. Can I still come?+
Please get in touch before you book. Some treatments may need adapting, and we would rather talk it through with you first. If you have an active eating disorder or are in early recovery, please get in touch too, and we can talk about what would support you best.

The food

What is the food like?+
Mediterranean, seasonal and generous, cooked fresh each day by Danielle and her kitchen team. Nothing restrictive and nothing to count. The menu is vegetarian, with eggs, and there is no meat or fish.
Will I be hungry?+

Can you cater for my dietary needs?+
Yes, tell us about them when you book, and we'll make sure your meals work for you.
Will there be coffee, or wine?+
The week is alcohol-free. Coffee is served with breakfast, and herbal teas, fresh juices and broths are there throughout the day.

Rooms and travel

Will I share my room?+
Only if you choose to. Sharing means a twin room with one other guest, or with a friend you book with. If you would like a room to yourself, choose solo. Either way, Danielle places each guest personally; if anything matters to you, such as avoiding stairs or being close to the main house, just tell us when you book.
How do I get there?+
Fly to Málaga. House of Inquiry is about half an hour away by car. Airport transfers can be arranged at an extra cost; just let us know your flight times. If you are driving, there is parking at House of Inquiry.
What time do we arrive and leave?+
Arrive on Wednesday 5 May from 15:00 and leave on Sunday 9 May by 14:00.
What should I bring?+
Comfortable clothes for movement, swimwear, a warm layer for the fresh evenings, and anything that helps you rest: a book, a journal. Bed linen and towels are provided.
